  • I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because I love the structure! I love being able to create a container for our work together and for you to know where you are in our efforts to reach your goals. With that said, everything I do is within a Feminist theory lens. (Yes, there’s a whole therapy school of thought that’s Feminist and it’s no! just for “girls”!). This means, I believe that the patriarchy (and other power structures) hurts everyone (regardless of gender orientation) and that problems are not only individual. They are often a symptom of a sick society. Feminist theory helps us contextualize what’s going on for you, what the pressures of the outside world are telling you to do, and how you reckon with that to live in alignment with your inner compass.

  • After completing their Masters and their therapy traineeship, a therapist becomes an Associate and must be under the guidance of Supervision. In my case, my Supervisor is: Dr. Kim Hollingdale nd her license number is: LMFT #88227. An Associate must complete 3,000 hours working with clients before they become fully licensed as an LMFT.

  • Supervision means that I meet with my supervisor once or twice a week to discuss my clients’ cases and seek any additional counsel from their wealth of experience. Supervision is a great way to collaborate and build skills that benefit the therapeutic work with my clients. My supervisor is bound by the same guidelines of confidentiality and will protect your information in accordance with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the CAMFT.

  • Unfortunately, at this time, I’m only able to work with clients who live in and would be working with me from California.
